Cir./8/10 15th August 2010
Dear Fathers, Brothers & Sisters,
Greetings from Nagpur!
I am happy to inform you that I am back from UK. At the outset I wish you all a happy feast of Independence of our great country, and of the assumption of Mother Mary. These two feasts are very important to us Indians and Christians. May Mother Mary continue to intercede for our country which is on many accounts growing from strength to strength.
I express my heartfelt condolence at the sad and sudden demise of one of our young Priests, Rev. Proful Dung Dung. It is a great loss for his family and for our Archdiocese. True to his name he was always cheerful and joyous. I had met him just few days before I left for U K. I am happy to learn that his family has taken this great loss in good spirit. I sincerely thank all those who stood by him and the large number of Priests and faithful who gave him a moving farewell in the Mass and funeral Service. RIP.
The course I attended at Institute of St. Anselm, Margate, Kent U.K. was called Psycho-Spiritual Growth facilitation Workshop. It was a course for 7 weeks with weekends free. It involved daily four classes, group Discussions, and home work. We had time for our Daily Spiritual exercises like morning prayers, Holy Mass, evening prayers and recreation. It helps one to know oneself a little more, and the need to step out and listen to one’s own body. We were told to “come as you are”. Experts in Psycho-Spirituality and Counseling gave the lectures and shared their long years of experience. Though it was very interesting and as well as tiring; I was happy that I made it. I am happy to be back Nagpur. I sincerely thank Fr. Jerome Pinto and all who helped in sharing the responsibility of the Archdiocese in my absence. Back home I am trying to cope up with my work for which I seek your understanding. Thanks for your prayers.
